Egan Dimension Mobile with Ballistic Armor Core

The Egan Dimension Mobile Board is now available with a ballistic armor core which can be specified for environments where increased personal safety is desired. Active shooter incidents are on the rise in many regions. Business and education environments were the site of 70% of all incidents. Many or most workplaces and schools now have protocols or Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) in place. Most protocols have, as a key component, "shelter-in-place" components, however the spaces to which they apply have no actual shelter that is a safe place for refuge. The Egan Dimension Mobile equipped with the available ballistic armor core is designed to protect against multiple shots without failing, buying precious time in an Active Shooter event.

The Ballistic Armor Core meets National Institute of Justice Standard 0108.01, "Ballistic Resistant Protective Materials" Type III (High Powered Rifle) and all weapons rated lower, including 12-gauge rifle slug and "most handgun threats" including 44 Magnum, and 9mm. Level IV (Armor Piercing Rifle) can also be specified on the Egan custom Response program. The specification of a Ballistic Core is not visually evident in the product, which otherwise has the clean, modern appearance of an Egan Dimension Mobile.
