GSA? USA!

May 14, 2013

Ever wonder how the United States government purchases supplies and materials for all of its various departments, agencies and organizations. The answer is the U.S. General Services Administration or as it is commonly referred to, the GSA. The GSA is an independent U.S. Government agency that oversees the business of the U.S. federal government. It leverages the buying power of the federal government to secure, in the most cost effective, transparent, and sustainable manner possible, the goods, services, and real property that the civilian federal government needs to operate. GSA provides federal purchases with cost-effective and high quality products and services from commercial vendors, like US Markerboard.

What does this all mean? Well it means that USMB has been awarded a Federal Supply Schedule by the GSA and this contract allows federal, state, and local governments and agencies direct access to USMB’s vast selection of whiteboards, science furniture, trophy & display cases, reference organizers and more.

As a family owned business, USMB is very proud and pleased to be working directly with the GSA. We have been serving our customers for over 60 years and this is a great achievement for us.  United States Congressman Stephen F. Lynch representing the 9th District of Massachusetts stated “I am pleased to see that a local company, US Markerboard of Holbrook, has been successful on this contract award. In this economy, every job is important and I think the GSA made a good decision.”
