The seat can adjust in 1″ increments from 22″ – 32″, with a maximum seat height of 32″.

Is This Board Magnetic?

This board accepts magnets, it is not a magnet that will stick to magnet accepting material. This board is intended to be used for resurfacing old boards, or custom framing.

The cork is often forbo bulletin board material, and is 1/4″ thick Forbo on 1/4″ thick hardboard, for a total nominal thickness of 1/2″

What Is The Thickness Of This Material? Is It Adhesive?

This product is actually a Porcelain Whiteboard Skin, only .03″ thick. It is not a self-adhesive product, so you will need to use a secondary adhesive to complete the installation.

We do offer a Self-Adhesive Skin here.

All unframed material can be cut to size of the resurfacing area.

Asked About Unframed Magnetic Whiteboard Resurfacing Panels

How Rough Will The Edges Be? Would Wrapping Them With Masking Tape Be Sufficient? Or Is It Possible To Sand Them Myself? I Want To Use These In My Classroom Without Framing Them And Without Injuring Myself Or Students.

We do not recommend using unframed porcelain as a handheld markerboard. We have fabricated handheld markerboards available, but the steel underlayment of the porcelain writing surface can be sharp enough to cut if not properly sealed.

How Do I Measure? Does This Include The Pin Ends Or Just The Wooden Roller?

It is easiest to provide a tip-to-tip measurement including the pin ends. This way whether inside or outside mount, we can provide the proper length of roller.

What Is The Finished Thickness Of An Unframed Chalkboard Panel?

Chalkboard panels can be either 1/4″ thick or 1/2″ thick. Both are nominal thicknesses as the actual thickness has a 1/16″ variance.

The Harmony Boards are not available with gold standoffs, however you can get a Custom Glassboard made and request gold standoffs.

Is The Largest Size 4 Inch (height) X 8 Inch (wide)?

The largest size of the Elemental Frameless skin is 48″H x 96″W. The Elemental Skin is an imported product with radius (rounded) corners. If you need a skin that is larger, there are standard porcelain skins and the Sharewall Skin product available in up to 4′ x 12′ pieces. Larger skins can be hard to manage though, so if you are attempting a full-wall installation, please give us a call and we can help find the perfect solution.

Can I Cut Holes In This Material For Light Switch, Fire Alarm?

It is possible to make cut outs in the Self-Adhesive Skins, however the 28 gauge steel can be difficult to get through. Sharewall Whiteboard Skins have an aluminum-steel alloy underlayment for the porcelain writing surface, which is a bit easier to get through, and better suited for painted wall/drywall installation, which is the likely situation when considering cutouts for light switches.

In any case, the standard is to use a carbide blade saw, duct tape the cut surface, and expect chipping of porcelain.

Is It Suitable For Exposed Outdoor Surface? It Is Undercover But Exsposed To Weather.

Only the Outdoor Enclosed Bulletin Boards are intended for outdoor use. Unframed Cork sheets, on top of being not suitable on their own, would be difficult to mount outdoors.

Can You Stick It On A Wall?

Yes, however these skins are very thin (approx. 1/16″ thick) and will take on the texture of the mount surface, which is why they are typically intended strictly as a resurfacing material for old boards.

Do You Have A Vinyl Faced Bulletin Board That Meets Astm E84, (fire Rated)?

The easiest way to get a Fire Rated Bulletin Board is using our Custom Bulletin Board Builder. Almost all of the Vinyl Fabrics are Fire Rated, however the Fire Rated MDF Substrate is custom.
